Her areas of expertise include digestive health, weight management (including bariatric & metabolic surgery), hormone health (pre-/post menopause, hormonal disorders such as PCOS, endometriosis and insulin resistance, thyroid) and skin health.

As well as offering nutrition consultations she facilitates testing in a number of areas including microbiome (gut health) and hormones (DUTCH  – women & men).

She gained her degree in Nutritional Therapy from the University of West London and is a Director at the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT). BANT’s vision is for a healthier population through informed nutrition and lifestyle choices. Its members are the leading nutritional therapists in the country. Abir is also a member of the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).

Abir is also an experienced yoga teacher, having gained her 200hr training through YogaWorks in San Francisco and then the advanced training (500hr) through SmartFLOW. Abir’s teaching style is grounded in both modern anatomy and classical yoga philosophy to create awareness and strength in the body, focus and curiosity in the mind, as well as a sense of presence and kindness. Her approach aims to inspire students to commit to the journey of yoga, which does not necessarily have an end point and is not focused on perfection.

We’re delighted to announce that Abir will be joining us on Tues 10 June.
