Kate is Head of the Family Team at Mishcon de Reya, specialising in all aspects of family law with a particular emphasis on complex financial remedy cases, in particular those with an international element. She is committed to resolving matters outside of court and is a trained and experienced collaborative lawyer, in addition to which, Mishcon also offer arbitration, mediation and “One Couple One Lawyer”.
Kate leads the Firm’s group specialising in high conflict children matters. She has particular experience of cases involving allegations of alienating behaviour. Such cases can be extremely complex and challenging, and Kate works closely with psychologists, psychotherapists and other specialist professionals to ensure that a holistic approach is taken from both a legal and therapeutic perspective. Kate is also experienced in advising families with children who are neurodivergent, and the challenges such cases pose.
Kate has advised same sex couples on a pro bono basis through the ‘Pink Law’ initiative with Queen Mary University of London for the past 8 years, which often involve issues related to artificial insemination and the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008.
Kate is ranked as band 2 in Chambers & Partners and as a Next Generation Partner in Legal 500. She has been recognised in the 2024 Spear’s Family Law Index as a Top Flight Lawyer and was awarded Gold at the Citywealth Future Leaders Awards 2019 as ‘Family Lawyer of the Year – Partner’.
And we’re absolutely delighted that Kate will be joining us on 10th June, at the Big Sister inaugural speaker event.
